Meet The Staff
Our coaches combined, have over 80 years of coaching experience.
Our first priority is that our coaches love kids and work well with kids. Second is their gymnastics knowledge and background. All coaches spend a minimum of two weeks shadowing and training wth a Sr Coach. Some coaches specialize in Junior, Rec, Pre Team or Team levels but many cross over creating a well balanced knowledge of the progressions safely followed in gymnastics. Every coach has a different personality and coaching style and we will always find a better fit for your child if you are not satisfied with your class or coach. At the team level, our coaches spend a significant amount of time with our athletes and because of that, we believe part of our job is being a positive role model for these young ladies.
Since 2013, our coaches have trained along side the USA Gymnastics National Team coaches as well as other experienced elite coaches at the National Team Training Center (NTTC). Danelle and / or Jessica have traveled over 36 times to the NTTC to participate in the USA Gymnastics Elite Development Program. The camps last for 4 days and provide extensive training, technical knowledge and guidance in the development of elite gymnasts for the National Teams.
We are extremely proud of our accomplishment of producing Nebraska's first International Elite gymnast in over 20 years. The knowledge gained at the training center has improved our entire program. Our elite coaches work with all levels of athletes in our program and oversee their development. Others members of our program have attended Elite Development Invitee camps as well.
Danelle has more than 30 years of coaching experience in California and Nebraska. She opened Solid Rock in 1996 after coaching for 2 other gymnastics schools in Lincoln. Her goal was to provide Lincoln with a gymnastics school that provided high level, quality gymnastics coaching in a positive environment. "I love God, love children and love what participating in the sport of gymnastics can teach children." She participated in gymnastics herself for 12 years and was the equivalent of a level 10 in today's world....but way back then."I spend most of my time coaching and running the gym. When I am not coaching, or traveling with gymnasts, I enjoy spending time with them and their families doing outside the gym activities."
Jessica has been with Solid Rock Gymnastics since January 2011. She has been coaching since she was 16 years old. Prior to SRG she coached at Starz Gymnastics and Platte Valley Gymnastics both in North Platte. "I have always had a love for gymnastics and it shows in my coaching. I was a gymnast when I was younger.I enjoy coaching all ages of atheletes. My favorite thing about coaching is seeing the looks on my athletes faces when they learn a new skill and master it all by themselves. "
Jessica's roles with Solid Rock include staffing, Director of Social Media and skill evaluations for moving up in our program. "In my free time I like spending time with my friends, going to the lake or spending time with my family."
